Romain Pilon

Guitarist

Over the years, Romain Pilon has established himself as an important figure on the European jazz scene.

After studying at the Conservatoire de Chambéry, Romain Pilon won a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he stayed for 4 years, during which time he met Pat Metheny and played with many musicians including Christian Scott, Esperanza Spalding, Warren Wolf, Lionel Loueke…

The Financial Times describes him as a “world-class” musician, Jazz Wise as a “brilliant improviser”. As a leader, he has recorded four albums, all very well received by the press. “Choc” for Jazz Magazine, “Indispensable” for Jazz News… with world-renowned jazz musicians such as Ben Wendel, Walter Smith, Seamus Blake, Matt Brewer… His knowledge of tradition and his ability to adapt to both traditional and more modern contexts make him a sought-after sideman.
