This is just one of the many positive reviews we’ve received for Duo des Cimes’ show “ZZAJ, à ceux qui se ratent”, which opens on January 17 at the Grand Point Virgule theater in Paris.
But let’s rewind for a moment. It’s 2016, the new IMEP premises have just opened in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, and guitarist Matthias Lauriot Prévost and singer Augustin Ledieu are students in the Professional Program.
In 2017 for Augustin, and 2018 for Matthias, they complete their 5th and final year at the school, as graduates… and as friends!
This friendship, built around their love of music, inspired a professional project: it is the birth of Duo des Cimes. A duo of musicians who tell the History of jazz in a playful, zany and burlesque way. After a few adjustments, and the help of director Sandrine Righeschi, the show “ZZAJ, à ceux qui se ratent” is launched.
After a run at the Festival d’Avignon Off in 2021, two years and 200,000 spectators later, the Duo des Cimes takes the stage of the Grand Point Virgule theater from January to March 2024!
