Glenn Ferris and his new group “NEWTET” explore the entire history of jazz, picking up pieces here and there with an ease and mastery that few musicians possess today. We’ll go from Bix Beiderbeck to Eric Dolphy, via songs by Strayhorn and Ellington, to Monk and even a foray into reggae with War, made famous by Bob Marley, and of course original compositions by Glenn and his musicians.
