Winners of the Rezzo springboard competition in 2021, Ishkero will be playing on the main stage of the Théâtre Antique for the second time. The dream goes on for this young band, who embody the future of open, no-holds-barred jazz, but with a taste for risk-taking and a commitment to the fundamentals of improvisation. The great saxophonist Donny McCaslin, emblematic member of the cult group Steps Ahead and principal soloist on David Bowie’s last album, was not mistaken. As part of the Talents Adami Jazz 2025 operation, he has chosen to be, in a way, Ishkeroʼs musical mentor for this exceptional evening. This passionate, intergenerational encounter could not be more promising, heralding a genuine musical creation without frontiers, a fusion of sounds and senses for the better and for the future.
