109 – Galawesh & Thomas Salvatore Live
So many talented artists are starting out in the music industry, ready to take the world by storm with their incredible sounds! However, it’s not easy for a new band to fill an entire evening… That’s where we got the idea for 109, for “new blood.”
The concept? Two young talents, two 45-minute sets, and above all, an opportunity to show Paris what they’re capable of.
GALAWESH :
My project is a musical journey composed with different producers, where each track brings its own flavor. I like to describe my set as a “fruit salad”: a variety of flavors that complement and enrich each other when combined. There are folk, rock, and electronic influences, all serving lyrics that speak of kindness, self-care, love, but also loneliness and the dark places we all go through.
On stage, there are two possible formats.
A trio with Daniel Jouravski on keyboards and production, and my brother Tanguy Héril on VJing. He works with images that we film together, our memories, our shared moments, to which he adds live footage from his phone to create a lively and energetic connection.
The other, more stripped-down formation is a duo with Nathan Bruel, with a more folk aesthetic carried by two guitars (I’m still learning the others on one track). In both cases, I sing with effects pedals that create an intimate and immersive atmosphere.
THOMAS SALVATORE :
On the keyboards, he blends organic pianos and organs, vintage synths and modern textures, carried by an expressive pop-soul voice. Influenced by artists such as Louis Cole, Gorillaz, Robert Glasper and Cory Henry, Thomas has crafted a personal sound signature at the crossroads of alternative pop and contemporary groove.
