Pianist and composer Christopher Culpo is pleased to announce the release of Volume 2: Incantations.

Second release from the Golden Hand Sessions, a series of recordings made at the Atelier de la Main d’Or in Paris, from 2 to 6 November 2021.

This new album continues the musical dialogue begun with clarinettist and saxophonist Achille Succi more than 15 years ago. Together, they have built a unique universe, developing a duo, but also a trio and two distinct quartets over the years. Their musical writing is characterised by a great fluidity between dense composition, refined writing and free improvisation, in a constant search for balance and spontaneity.

Their approach aims to merge written and improvised language, with each free section deeply imbued with the composed structure from which it emerges. And sometimes, they simply play.

Golden Hand Sessions Volume 2: Incantations features 14 new compositions, reflecting this rare artistic collaboration and their shared vision of music without stylistic boundaries.
