A graduate of Berklee College of Music, University of Miami, and Loyola University (New Orleans), Rick Margitza has studied with Sonny Stitt, Gerry Niewood, Michael Brecker and David Liebman. He has toured and recorded with Miles Davis, McCoy Tyner, Bobby Hutcherson, Tony Williams, Eddie Gomez, Chick Corea, Maria Schnieder, Martial Solal, Dave Douglas, Ibrahim Maalouf and many others. Quelques CD’s : Bohemia, Momento, Heart of Hearts, Miles Davis At Montreux 1973-1991.
Teaching since 2008, professor at IMEP since 2016.
