BAKORO :
An intimate acoustic concert written and composed by BAKORO
Through a repertoire that blends soul, pop, and slam poetry, Bakoro explores cultural duality, the search for identity, and the memory of the heart. Through her words intertwined with piano music, Bakoro tells her story. She examines her origins and questions her history, all while shaping her identity. Her reflection on what shapes us, what we lack, and what brings us together lies at the heart of her artistic approach.
ZIZA NATUR :
The “DOR” project: a musical theater production with a libretto written by Ziza Natur and music composed by Stephen Browmann.
The show explores the blurring of identity and that feeling of “limbo” one can experience when leaving one’s home country: Who am I? Which of the two identities I’ve built—the foreign one or the local one—will take precedence today? Which parts of myself that don’t fit in should I hold onto, and which should I tone down to blend in better? What exactly am I missing? How can I reconcile the desire to stay here with the pain—sometimes irreparable—of breaking away from my roots?
A musical preview of this project will be presented on October 2, in a piano-and-voice format, accompanied by Nima Gachpaz.
