The masterclass will present the history of Neo Soul, from its beginnings to its heyday, its leading figures, and their major works. We will also focus on the rhythmic and harmonic aspects of this musical style with a variety of examples. This will be followed by a detailed listening session of some iconic works, and we will finish with a group playing session to put into practice the elements studied during the masterclass.
