A high-level competition open to all jazz styles, it is organized by the Hauts-de-Seine department as part of the La D\u00e9fense Jazz Festival.<\/h4>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">The Concours national de jazz de La D\u00e9fense helps jazz professionals develop their careers. The Hauts-de-Seine department provides financial support for the winning artists, as well as assistance in professionalizing their careers.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><strong>The CNJLD 2024 call for applications is open from March, 4th to May, 24th 2024. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">A large number of the French jazz scene leaders were rewarded by the Concours national de Jazz. For example Julien Lourau, Pierre de Bethman, Antoine Herv\u00e9, Le Sacre du Tympan, Erik Truffaz, Paul Lay, Le\u00efla Martial, Anne Quillier Sextet, Laurent Coulondre, EYM trio, Gauthier Toux, Airelle Besson, Thomas De Pourquery, Youn Sun Nah \u2026<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=&#8221;https:\/\/jeparticipe.hauts-de-seine.fr\/fr\/applications\/concours-national-de-jazz-la-defense&#8221; url_new_window=&#8221;on&#8221; button_text=&#8221;COMPETITION REGISTRATION&#8221; button_alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_button][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.25.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>There are two prize categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Concours national de jazz de La D\u00e9fense prize ;<\/li>\n<li>The Concours national de jazz de La D\u00e9fense instrumentalist prize<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Selected by the jury, they were awarded a financial help and a guidance for developping their career.<\/p>\n<p><span>In 2022<\/span>,<strong>Chocho Cannelle<\/strong> <span>was named winner of the 45th edition (Group Prize).<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_video src=&#8221;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pb2_I_dDb_Y&#8221; image_src=&#8221;\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/pb2_I_dDb_Y\/hqdefault.jpg&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_video][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.25.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h6><span>Chocho Cannelle <\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span>A resolutely modern jazz quartet combining electric and acoustic instruments, writing and improvisation, contemporary jazz and Latin sounds. The four musicians succeed in marrying such original timbres as electric llanera harp, clarinet, rhodes and drums. Without a bassist, the harp and moog share the role. The repertoire, mainly composed by drummer L\u00e9o Danais, reflects his multiple inspirations, ranging from jazz to world music.
