IMEP’s pedagogy is based on the idea that to be able to express yourself fully, musically speaking, you need to be as “complete” as possible: you need to know how to read, hear and understand the main theoretical axes, but also how to write music and have the clearest possible knowledge of how to transmit ideas to the other instruments in the group. Throughout our training, we study and practice a wide variety of music: jazz, funk, rock, pop, world music… <\/p>\n

With a resolutely international outlook, IMEP makes a point of developing its international network. A member of the international IASJ and JEN networks, our school is also the only French school in academic partnership with Berklee College of Music. Our students benefit from an exclusive agreement for the transfer of study credits, easier access to the Berklee admissions process and many other advantages: preparation for auditions, a dedicated team, exclusive events and the IMEP-Berklee network. In addition to the events organized on the school’s premises, numerous musical events such as concerts and jam sessions are organized outside the school every year, both on the major Parisian stages (Studio de l’Ermitage, Sunset Sunside, New Morning, Bal Blomet…) and in more intimate venues (Caf\u00e9 de la danse, Pamela club…). <\/p>\n At the end of each term, our students perform publicly, either in concerts organized by IMEP – Paris College of Music in a Paris jazz club, or in front of a jury of teachers.
