Our music school receives France television with drummers Manu Katché and Jean-Claude Paolini

IMEP • Paris College of Music increases its visibility in Paris as an emerging music school. This is how we received a request for shooting from France Télévision, France 3 Corse Via Stella, in search of a well-equipped music school in Paris for the shooting of a 50-minute documentary written by Michèle Don Ignazi, directed by Isabelle Porte, and produced by Intervista Production and Lodge Productions. The drummers Manu Katché and Jean-Claude Paolini (drummer of the group Corsica “i Muvrini”) then met at the Paris College of Music in studio A for an interview / meeting. This has been a good opportunity for our music school to make new contacts and to make known its approach and its particularly advantageous framework.

The subject of the shoot :

Entitled “Guerriers du silence”, this documentary will evoke the new musical and choreographic concept of Jean-Claude Paolini. This show features a meeting between Jean-Claude’s solo drum and Japanese master Masato Matsuura’s saber.

“What can a drummer and a Japanese samurai have to share?” The musician draws his inspiration from the movement while the samurai finds his gesture through music. A new encounter for a mesmerizing artistic adventure that leads us in the footsteps of an art of living and a philosophy based on respect for others and the sharing of cultures.

New contacts

Present at the filming, we were able to witness the beautiful moments of complicity between the two musicians who discovered our school of music with interest. This operation leaves us interesting perspectives for collaboration in the months to come.
